Very authentic looking bamboo. Construction appears solid, but instructions were unclear. I put it together with no problem, but some might have trouble following the diagram.

College student, in a dorm room, and I love it! It truly is my "coffee table"--both my coffee maker and slow cooker are sitting on it now. It's a little big to store easily, but I don't plan to really do that. It didn't come with assembly instructions, but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly. It's a cute table, too!
